I would like to know if anyone has experienced predjudice treament by this judge. In my case, she was clearly biased toward the male defendant. Itbr /> was my sense that the issue was because I (plantiff) was female. Her handling of my case was extreme and unbelievable, escpecially given the circumstances. It just plain did not matter what facts were presented in my case. Her mind seemed to be made up before anyone said one word.br /> I should add that the defendant is a highstanding public figure in the area.br /> I hope to hear from someone.

I feel for you. I had a similar experience, as have many female clients of the lawyers I spoke to about her. She did not have the same standard of evidence for my exhusband as she held for me. In her decision she actually claimed to know what he was thinking, and so attributed his financial claims and motives positively in the absence of evidence. She quoted his lawyers' arguments that were intended to prejudice the court against me as if they were facts: they were lies that worked, and offered also without evidence. I'm afraid she is one of those supersious people who trust their "gut" not realizing that gut reactions contain unexamined prejudices (bias.) br /> br /> I'm sorry to say I see a Catholic upbringing that was more about judging who is "good" and who is "bad" than Christlike humility and understanding. Her moral universe is pitiless and without any subtlety: She apparently doesn't understand that human beings do both good and bad. Nor does she treat women with respect or as human beings. Her take on the litigants before her is the crudest possible. Archie Bunker accepted a wider variety of folks. br /> br /> Because of her particular brand of gullibility, she is ripe for picking by sociopaths who lie smoothly without a trace of guilt (because she apparently thinks she can see things in absence of supporting fact.) She is victimizing women and children, especially those who've spoken up against abusive husbands and fathers. Get away from her as fast as you can.
